Makawalu - Strategies in Educational Advancement

Prepares Career and Technical Education students who intend on transferring to a four-year university for careers in current or emerging professions.

 

Participants will:

• Attend a week long activity rooted in cultural values with a unique opportunity to learn about successful transfer strategies

• Engage in information sessions conducted by professionals on relevant career paths, established articulation options, and an introduction to student support programs throughout the System Universities

• Be introduced to all of the University campuses and the many diverse baccalaureate and graduate educational opportunities

• Have the unique opportunity to spend two night’s in UHM’s housing facility and two nights in UHH’s housing facility

• Interact with university faculty, staff and students and acclimate to a university setting
