Kau Wela Summer Classes

Gateway core–curriculum classes integrated with peer tutors to foster student success and understanding, ensuring that participants acquire the necessary proficiency and general education credit in their chosen career path. Last year's Kau Wela (2011) classes were in Elementary Algebra II Math 25, Technical Math Math 50, Pre-Calc: Elem Functions Math 135, Technical Writing English 60 and Cooperative Education. This year's 2012 Kau Wela classes will be Elementary Algebra II Math 25, College Algebra Math 103 and Cooperative Education.

 

In order to qualify for the FREE Math 25 & 103 Class:

1. Be enrolled in a related program at HCC
2. Placement in Math 50 or higher or Pre-requisite Completion
3. Be an active Po‘i Nā Nalu Participant
4. Be able to attend ALL class and required study sessions
5. Maintain positive work habits and an academic record that is always predictive of graduation
6. Be able to complete and participate in all other required Po'ina Nalu activities
