  • INTRASYSTEM LOAN (ISL) - Requesting Articles From Another UH Library

  • Intrasystem Loan (ISL) is a service for HCC students, faculty, and staff to request articles from other UH System libraries. Please see a reference librarian, who will assist you in selecting and requesting journal or magazine articles. The ISL form requires your UH ID number and contact information. Be advised that not all materials may be requested. Each library determines what it will provide.
    • Articles are usually transmitted electronically between libraries, which may take 1-3 days.
    • Articles of less than 50 pages are free. For articles over 50 pages, there is a $3.00 charge.
    • HCC library staff will contact you by phone or e-mail when your documents are ready for pick up, so make sure your contact information is up-to-date when requesting materials.

  • ADDITIONAL CIRCULATION SERVICES
For complete rules and regulations governing the circulation of library items, HCC Library follows the Libraries of the University of Hawaii System Circulation Policy. [PDF]

If you have questions about accessing library services or checking out materials, please speak to a staff member at the Circulation Services Counter, or call 845-9221.
