WELD 84 - Advanced Fabrication Techniques

WELD majors only. Emphasis on the use of various types of equipment together with the interpretation of blueprints and sketches to perform practical work assignments.

8 hrs. lect./lab. per week

Student Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of WELD 84, the student will be able to:

• Select and use the proper safety clothing and equipment
• Perform practical projects with minimum supervision.
• Demonstrate welding layout and fabrication from sketches and blueprints, with safe and appropriate operation of hand tools, power tools and equipment according to industry standards
