SMP 41 - Advanced Air Conditioning Fabrication

• Prerequisite: SMP 26

SMP majors only. Fabrication of complex fi ttings in both high and low velocity air conditioning systems. Various types of reinforcing and transverse seams, sealants and insulation.

2 hrs. lect.; 6 hrs. lab. per week

Student Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of SMP 41, the student will be able to:

• Understand the theory and application of the use of various types of fittings for conventional A/C systems.
• Have developed skills in fabricating complex fittings using various types of seams and/or connections.
• Have been introduced to the use of power equipment.
