MARR 251 - Composite Production
- Prerequisite: MARR 50 or Instructor approval; ENG 19 and/or ENG 21, OR ESL 11 & 13 & 14, OR Placement in ENG 22/60 or ESL 23; MATH 9, OR Placement in MATH 50/53
This course uses a production mold to produce a boat hull. Chopper gun techniques, adjustment, and maintenance are covered and PVC foam cores are installed with vacuum bag techniques. Classroom instruction and tasks performed will be in accordance with applicable American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) Standards and industry best practices.

- Practice hand laminating techniques
- Become more adept in the use of the chopper gun
- Practice vacuum bag molding techniques for core installation

- Understand how to calculate the amount and type of materials to be used
