CENT 372 - Network Operating Systems II

  • Prerequisite: CENT 270

This course covers the installation, confi guration and administration of a Network Infrastructure. Various network services and applications that enhance the administration, management and performance of a Computer Network are featured. Window server operating systems are emphasized.

3 hrs. lect.; 3 hrs. lab. per week

Student Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of CENT 372, the student will be able to:

  • Implement and manage DHCP Services for a Windows Network
  • Implement and manage DNS Services for a Windows Network
  • Install and configure a VPN, NAT and IPSEC in a Windows Network.
  • Implement system to automatically update workstations
  • Monitor a Windows Network Infrastructure
  • Describe network security concerns
  • Secure Windows Workstations and Servers
  • Secure Network Services
  • Install, configure, and maintain Network Applications
  • Design and construct a simple Windows Network.
