- Prerequisite: "C" in AERO 130 and in 131
- Corequisite: AERO 133
AERO majors only. Fundamentals of piston engine construction and operation and basic powerplant indicating systems; inspect and repair opposed and radial piston engines; perform powerplant inspections; inspect engine indicating systems as specifi ed by Federal Aviation Regulation Part 147.

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of AERO 132, the student will be able to:
- Inspect and repair radial engines
- Overhaul reciprocating engines
- Inspect, service, troubleshoot, and install reciprocating engines
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical indicating systems
- Repair electrical components
- Identify and select lubricants
- Inspect, check, service and repair lubrication systems and components
- Overhaul magnetos and ignition harnesses
- Inspect, service, repair, and troubleshoot ignition systems and components
