Transcript Requests

Transcripts are processed within 7 working days of date of receipt, for a fee of $5.00 per copy. (Honolulu CC Transcript requests are no longer required within the University of Hawaiʻi System. See your Home Institution for further information.) Rush requests are processed within 24 hours for a fee of $15.00 per copy. Additional postage fees apply for transcripts mailed to foreign locations. Official transcripts of credits earned at other institutions are not available for distribution by Honolulu CC. Please make checks payable to: University of Hawaiʻi. Do not send cash.

The College is not responsible for undeliverable transcripts or transcripts not claimed within 30 days.

There are two ways in which you can request for a transcript:

  1. Complete the Transcript Request Form [PDF] online, sign and mail it to the Records Office with the appropriate fee enclosed. If paying by credit card, please complete the Credit Card Authorization Form [PDF] (cardholder signature required).
  2. Visit the Records Office in-person at Building 6, 1st Floor.

Transcript Evaluation

For any previous course work to be evaluated for transfer to Honolulu Community College, the student’s Home Institution must be Honolulu Community College and must be in a degree program. Transcripts will be processed for evaluation ONLY after receiving ALL official transcripts listed.

  1. Complete the Transcript Evaluation Request Form [PDF] online and submit it to the Records Office
  2. Request an OFFICIAL transcript from colleges other than the University of Hawaiʻi System to be sent DIRECTLY to the Honolulu Community College Records Office (hand-delivered or faxed transcripts are considered unofficial and will be used for placement purposes only)
  3. Submit a college catalog or course description from Out-of-State colleges to the Honolulu Community College Records Office, include your full name, Banner ID or Social Security Number, and name of college
  4. Transcript evaluation will be processed after the student enrolled (transcripts may be evaluated after acceptance upon student’s request)

Change of Address

  • Students may change their mailing address by accessing the Personal Information menu on MyUH Portal.
  • To change permanent address, students should submit a Change of Address Form [PDF] to the Honolulu CC Records Office.

Change of Name

Consent to Release

  • Complete the Consent to Release Confidential Information form [PDF] online.
  • Students may submit the completed form to the Records Office or the Admissions Office.
  • This form cannot be used to release health clearance and financial aid information.

Waiver of Degree Residency Requirement

Grades

Students may check their current and past grades on MyUH Portal - Academic Services by clicking the View Grades link from the Student Records Menu.

Information for Veterans Benefits Recipients

Honolulu Community College is an approved educational institution for education and training under the Veterans Educational Assistance Act (GI Bill), the Veterans Readjustment Act, and the Dependent's Educational Act. Information regarding eligibility, entitlement, and types of training authorized may be obtained from the Veterans Affairs Regional Office (VARO).

Application for Veterans Benefits

Students may apply for veteran's benefits (1) as soon as they have been accepted by Honolulu Community College and (2) as soon as they have registered for their classes. Application forms and instructions can be obtained at the VA website.

A. Students who have not previously received veterans benefits should submit the following to the Records Office in Building 6, 1st Floor:

  1. A completed Form 1990
  2. Certified copies of DD 214 (for former active duty), DD 2384 - Notice of Basic Eligibility (for students in the reserves), marriage certificates, and birth certificates (if you have dependent children)
  3. An Academic Counselor Review Form (Yellow sheet located at Honolulu CC Records Office)
  4. A Responsibility Statement Form (Green sheet located at Honolulu CC Records Office)
  5. An Advance Payment Request (For Chapter 30 or if applicable) ONLY
  6. "Certificate of Eligibility" for CHAPTER 33 POST 9/11
  7. "Veteran Retraining Assistance Program" (VRAP) "Certificate of Eligibility"

B. Students who have previously received veterans benefits from another institution should submit the following to the Records Office in Building 6, 1st Floor:

  1. A completed Form 1995 (VA Form 22-1995) can be obtained at the VA website
  2. An Academic Counselor Review Form (Yellow sheet located at Honolulu CC Records Office)
  3. A Responsibility Statement Form (Green sheet located at Honolulu CC Records Office)
  4. An Advance Payment Request (If applicable) CHAPTER 30 ONLY
  5. CHAPTER 33 POST 9/11 "Certificate of Eligibility" (COE)
  6. "Certificate of Eligibility" (VRAP) "Veteran Retraining Assistance Program"
