Parking Announcement
Please be aware that for the Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 semesters Lot 1C (gravel lot) is undergoing construction activity. As a result, parking is very limited. It is highly recommended that students arrive to campus well before their classes begin to find parking in either Lot 1 (student lot), Lot 3 (in front of and diamond head of Building 14), Lot 7 (makai of Lot 3), or Lot 8 (at the makai end of Kokea Street).
Parking Permits
Permits will be sold to students through a sign up system. To qualify, a student must:
- have registered and
- have successfully completed the Student Parking Sign Up Form by August 8, 2013
Students will receive immediate confirmation via email after signing up. Permits will be sold beginning August 12, 2013 at the Cashier’s Office 8:00 - 4:00 PM.
All students are eligible to purchase any remaining permits (Lots 1, 3, 7, & 8), if available, beginning August 12, 2013, on a space available basis.
Purchasing Parking Permits
When purchasing permits students must:
- Have paid their tuition and fees IN FULL or enrolled in a Payment Plan;
- Present Driver’s license;
- Present Vehicle registration;
- Present Proof of Insurance coverage; and,
- For disability parking, present offi cial and valid State of Hawai‘i Disability Parking ID Card.
Student Parking/Lots 1, 3, 7 and 8
Location: This permit authorizes you to parking in Lots 1, 3, 7, and 8. Should you park in any other area you will be issued a citation.
Hours: Lots 1, 3, 7, and 8 are open:
- Monday - Friday 6:45 AM - 10:00 (Lot 8 closes at 5:00 PM)
- Saturday 6:45 AM - 1:00 PM (Lot 8 closed)
Special Arrangements: Students having special parking problems such as lost or stolen parking permits should contact the Cashier's office for assistance at 845-9102 or x102. The cost for a replacement hang tag is $5.00. In addition, you will be permitted to park in Lot 3A, or Lot 4 after 3:00pm Monday thru Friday. Lot 2 after 4:30pm Monday thru Friday.
Directions for Applying Parking Hang Tag to Vehicle(s): Attach hang tag to the vehicle's rear view mirror. Permits must be visible.
Day Faculty & Staff Parking
Location: This parking permit authorizes you to park in Lots 1A, 2, 3A, 4, 5, and 6. Should you park in any other area you will be issued a citation.
Hours: Lots 1A, 2, 3A, 4, 5 and 6 are open:
- Monday - Thursday 6:45 AM - 10:00 PM
- Friday 6:45 AM - 5:00 PM
- Saturday 6:45 AM - 1:00 PM

Evening/Saturday Student Parking
Students attending Evening/Saturday classes are encouraged to purchase Evening/Saturday Parking Permits and park in On-Campus student designated lots. Off-Campus Parking surrounding the campus is on poorly lit and isolated streets; therefore, parking on campus is strongly recommended.
Location: This parking permit authorizes you to park in Lots 1, 2, 3, 3A, 4, and 7. Should you park in any other area you will be issued a citation.
Hours: Lots 1, 3, 3A, 4 and 7 are open:
- Monday - Thursday 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Friday 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
- Saturday 6:45 AM - 1:00 PM
Lot 2 is open:
- Monday - Friday 4:30 PM - 10:00 PM
- Saturday 6:45 AM - 1:00 PM

Motorcycle and Scooter Parking
Location: This parking permit authorizes you to parking Lots 2 & 3 in the deginated motorcycle/scooter area. Should you park in any other area you will be issued a citation.
Hours: Lots 2 & 3 are open:
- Monday - Thursday 6:45 AM - 10:00 PM
- Friday 6:45 AM - 5:00 PM
- Saturday 6:45 AM - 1:00 PM

Disability Parking
Use of On-Campus Disability Parking Stalls (Lots 1, 3, 7 and 8) requires that students purchase an On-Campus Parking Permit and present their Disability Parking ID and completed Disability Parking Request Form available at the Student ACCESS Office, Health Office, and Cashier’s Office) to the Cashier at the time of purchase.
If disability parking stalls are occupied, parking is permitted in any marked parking stall on campus.
On-Campus Disability Parking eligibility expires when the Disability Parking ID expires or when the semester ends, whichever comes first.

Parking Fees
- Student Permits: $20
- Motorcycle Permits (Lots 2, 3): $1.50
- Evening (3:00 PM - 10:00 PM)/Saturday Permit: $7
View Parking Rules and Regulations
Parking citations will be issued to all vehicles without valid parking permits parked in permit areas beginning August 26, 2013.
Liability
All owners and operators of motor vehicles parked or operated on campus shall assume the risk of, and the College and University shall not be responsible or liable for, any loss or damage occasioned by fire, theft, or other casualty to motor vehicles or any contents therein.
Caution
The failure to display the parking permit properly will invalidate the parking permit and will be cause for a citation. Rules and regulations governing parking and operation of motor vehicles at Honolulu Community College may be picked up at the Cashier's Office and are posted at http://www2.honolulu.hawaii.edu/?q=node/189. Remove all expired permits from your vehicle.
