Demonstrated financial need as determined by an application for financial aid.
Priority will be given to applicants whose parent(s) are or were employed in the Hawai'i construction industry. (Parent(s) formerly employed in the Hawai'i construction industry and now deceased or retired will also be considered.)
Be enrolled at least part-time (6 credits) as an undergraduate at Honolulu CC for 2012-13
Must be graduates of a Hawaii High School enrolled in one of the following vocational programs at Honolulu CC: Automotive Technology, Carpentry Technology, Diesel Mechanic Technology, Welding Technology
Academic merit as demonstrated by a minimum GPA of 2.0 or higher in previous year of either high school or community college
Some degree of financial need, not necessarily as determined by federal guidelines
